Exactly 10 weeks ago today I was induced to have the twins. It is hard to believe that our babies have been here that long since it seems like a lifetime ago when I was pregnant. When I saw that picture of me I couldn't help miss being pregnant just a little. I know crazy! But I miss feeling the movement of little hands and feet inside me. It was just me and and them back then, and I kinda miss that special connection. But then I come to my senses and realize I don't miss the backaches, swollen feet, and extra 50 pounds!

10 weeks later the twins are no longer newborns. Now we have two happy and content babies...well most of the time:0

Morning Smiles

The last couple of mornings the kiddos have woke up very happy. Instead of screaming for their morning bottle they spent the first half hour of the day smiling and talking with us. It sure sets a nice pace for the day! This morning I had the camera ready and captured a little smile from both of them.

Baptism

The twins were baptized this past Sunday at Evangelical Lutheran Church in Black River Falls. It was their first time in church and they did a great job. Evelyn slept thru the sprinkling of water, but brother Gavin was a little squirmy. Here a picture with the twins three Godmothers...Aunt Kelly, Aunt Terri, and Aunt Jayme.

Documenting Motherhood

Over the past 2 months I have heard the following comment numerous times, "Boy your life must have changed." I simply smile and laugh as I think inside that this is truly the understandment of the year. Nothing can prepare you for motherhood times two! My previous life (that before children) of shopping, watching TV, napping, cooking for fun, and working out has been replace with feeding, burping, dirty diapers, and numerous sleepless nights. Is it challenging? Yes! Is it exhausting? Most certainly! Have I aged? By ten years. But I wouldn't change it for the world. Nothing can compare to smelling your baby's hair after a bath, little fingers wrapping around your one, or witnessing a first smile and laugh. So in an effort to document my babies "firsts" I have decided to blog about the joys and tribulations of motherhood. I hope you enjoy reading first hand the journey of one new mom and the journey of her twins, Evelyn and Gavin.
